Sundown
I liked the idea of melting into melting into melting,
it reminded me of infinity,
and that reminded me of immortality
And at the intersection of day and eve,
I found my octarine,
doing a wonderful waltz with the likes of the Fata Morgana
I thought the Fatas were only for morning,
but they like to come out and play
This was a beautiful,
nightly bleed
and I was ever grateful for our encounters,
you and me
I could never look you quite in the eye,
but one day,
I heard you whisper under the clouds,
that you could see right through me
And when I went to sleep,
at magic hour,
I lay my head on a crisp pillow that I took from someone else,
and I thought of the fatigue of my hollowed insides,
and how this was no one's fault but my own
