Could barely keep my eyes open,
open
and when the lids were dropping fast and hard,
I had nothing to say for myself,
save to count some sheep
who does that work for, really?
no one,
especially when you realize they are white,
or off white,
whatever it is that they are,
at any rate,
they are whitish
and there is no grey area here because they are animals,
and animals can only see in black and white,
just before,
before they took to the fork in the road
Just the right amount of weird. If this is a conceit about evolution, I love it. If it's not, I'd like to hear more.
