I don't think I did my best,
or put my best foot forward,
because I didn't feel like it,
and I knew that wasn't a good enough reason,
but I just gave in,
and took deep breaths,
and realized what wasn't necessary anymore,
even if you thought less of me,
that was beyond,
and besides the point,
