I called Triple A to tell them my left eye was broken,
to ask them to come take a look,
and they asked me why I had not considered calling the doctor,
so I told them that I needed someone on the line,
an actual person who was qualified to either diagnose or adios this uncomfortable predicament I now found myself in,
the laughed,
and I asked them what the differences between roads and arteries were,
loose gravel and plaque,
bloodshot and icy conditions,
they thought I was nuts,
that these were clumsy analogies,
maybe so,
but even so,
I had them going,
had someone to talk to for four more minutes than yesterday
