You weren't paying attention to anyone,
least of all me,
and I thought I was nothing,
less than nothing,
but that wasn't true either,
it was somewhere in this triangle of questionable ethics,
that belonged elsewhere,
not to you,
or me,
or anyone really,
and I was a fool,
just for a bit,
I just didn't like saying it out loud
