"Why is it that you think you killed me?"
"I had to."
"You had to? You didn't have to."
"I did, though. Don't you see? You never loved me the way I loved you."
"And that was reason enough to kill me?"
"In my mind, yes."
"But if you loved me, then how could you do such a thing?"
"You can't be serious."
"But I am."
"That's precisely why I would do such a thing."
"Haven't you ever heard of loving someone so much you let them go?"
"Sure."
"And?"
"I tried that. Clearly very unsuccessfully."
"Clearly."
"I've been meaning to ask you something."
"What's that?"
"You're awfully chatty for a dead person."
"Am I? I hadn't noticed."
"I mean, even if you say one word, that makes you a chatty dead person. Wouldn't you agree?"
"No. I don't think so."
"Why not?"
"Because I'm not agreeable. I don't believe in it."
"In what?"
"In agreeability. Or that, for that matter."
"Or what?"
"In believability."
"You don't believe in believability. That is nonsense."
"Isn't it though."
"Yes."
"Exactly."
