I dreamt of things out of my control last night,
and this morning, with one eye open and a penchant for hindsight,
I reviewed the scene of the crime---
You were not a good person,
this is the conclusion that was made at the end of my report
The reasons for said conclusion are as follows:
arrogance unfounded arrogance apathy apathy toward mankind in general
I thought these would sound smaller than they really were,
if said aloud,
if you let us say we were sorry without sorrys
Once,
when we were older than we are now,
you would tell me that poker was the only real thing in this world,
and when I asked you if it was for the thrill of gambling,
you vehemently denied such claims that were inherent in such questions,
saying only that it was not to be trusted,
but then again,
neither were we---
