The Married Go Round

If you swim out to the deep end of the shallow corner of this pool,
that means you didn't really tread that far

And if you tread lightly, but fan your legs good and long until you can call this a bosttleneck,
it is still only just that,
a bottleneck

And if you took the neck of that bottle and rung all the water out,
and you successfully navigated the circumnavigation of this body,
you still would have only traveled in circles

And if you came to me and you spoke in tongue, but in circles and circles, as you often do,
you still would not get my wooden unicorn, with the chipped paint,
that went round and round and round the infinitum

If you did all of this, you would still be you,
and I would be older,

and I wold be wiser

and I would be somewhere very far from here-----
