If I could teach myself how to fold a napkin so that it looks more appealing,

could I teach myself how to forget you?

It seems like it would be that simple,

to do these simplistic, pedestrian things,

that's why they call them simplistic after all

If I could be a learned individual,

I could turn my back on you and not think twice about a counter move,
