I made the mistake of trusting a diagonal crosswalk and it was just some smoke and mirrors

when I was little I liked everything

well not all

but most because

it hadn't yet

taught me about

collision courses

and

mortality rates

eventually being one hundred percent

But I made a lot of mistakes---

too many to count [erclockwise],

too many to retread over,

too many to take responsibility for

But enough to know that just because x marks the spot

doesn't guarantee this comes full circle---
