The Split Decision

They had said that it was easy to tell the difference between right and wrong---

but you always blurred the lines just a bit;

a bit too much---

for me

They continuously told me that it was shaken, not stirred---

and so you took your marionette strings and went to work;

conversing in a manicured manner---

Which meant you needed to put me here,

on your knee;

and then on your lap

and zipper me up to the back of my scalp---

and once you undid it,

you took the screw---

and the driver

and you put this piece right in here,

so I could crack this code,

and tell you once and for all,

that this was not the leftist movement

and that this was, in fact,

wrong.
