The Over Shadow

where were the eyes that I let sink back into my head that one day

and then i moved them from right to left just like a typewriter

because that was the best way to foresee a problem

instead of being over here where people started gulping and gulping

and getting the dirty circles underneath

it was all this eye shadow that was dipping in and out

and swooping just above see level
