A Drop In The Hat

There was no feeling left in the left side of my leg

and something wasn't right on the right side of my face

This was all very, very upsetting

and I was looking for a contingency plan

And then I started closing my left eye once, twice, and once more

until it wouldn't shut because it was forcing me to see---

everything that I had left behind

and then it all went numb

and I couldn't move my mouth

I had so much to say

and no one to say it to---

but I did have a piggy bank

and it was full of something
