The Nature of the High Rise

We were a storied few with stories a plenty and heartbreaks amassed---

but as much as we lied to ourselves---

fairy tales were just that

and even longer fibs threaded with untruths

And fibs were the start of all problems

and all greatness

and I was all the wiser for sitting on the 43rd---

with such perspicaciousness

on my part

in this chapter

with hooks---

for holding--

onto everything else---

with too much to write down and document

and it all better left---

said here again
