Deficits were imaginary--unless, of course, you found yourself at one--
or the other
Walking a tightrope was a good idea until you remembered everything behind you
was there for a reason
and not a good one
But reasonable people don't find themselves suspended in such dilemmas;
after all--
slipknots had become the quicksand of the sky
High above all the living mistakes--
breathing below
pushing upward
And then--
with a grave intention
I lost my balance--
having sealed my envelopes and arrested any notion of best laid plans
is this a conceit? Does the tight rope act as a metaphor for something much larger? Sorry to ask the ignorant question.
ReplyDeleteTHere are no ignorant questions only lives hanging in the balance.
